  PTA Staff Beard Sticker Competition!

  Starting MONDAY 8.12.25

  The PTA will be selling stickers to raise funds and spread some Christmas fun!

  Prices:

  • 50p for 1 sticker

  • £1 for 3 stickers

  How It Works:

  Each sticker you buy will be placed onto your class teacher’s picture. Giving the staff member a Santa's beard. The staff member with the most stickers and biggest beard overall will win!

  The class linked to that teacher will win the big prize!

  Prize:

  The winning class will enjoy Pizza and Ice Cream for the whole class!

  Where to Buy:

  Infants (Rabbits, Robins & Squirrels): Outside the hall

  Juniors: On the junior yard ( Foxes, Hedgehogs, Owls and Badgers)

  Time:

  Stickers will be on sale from 3:10–3:20pm.

  As an added bonus, stickers will also be sold after the Christmas concerts.

  Parent Information - Gellifaelog is supporting this worthy cause and our School Council ask you to kindly support the appeal. We are collecting individual items with the intention of filling 2 shoe boxes per class for children aged between 2 and 10 years of age. DEADLINE 14 November Donation suggestions include: Toothbrush Hairbrush Socks Notebooks Colouring books Cuddly Toys Toy cars Please scan the QR code for more ideas.

  Parent Information- On Thursday, 16th October, our school is proud to be taking part in the Show Racism the Red Card event.

  To show our support for this important cause, children are invited to wear red to school.

  It’s a simple but powerful way to stand together against racism and promote equality and respect.

  Let’s turn the school red and show that we all stand for kindness, inclusion, and unity!

  IA3-Leading and Improving Parent Information- Exciting News for Our School Community!

  We are delighted to announce that Gellifaelog Primary School has been featured in a new thematic report on teaching the Curriculum for Wales by Estyn, the school inspectorate.

  What Happened

  In February 2024, Estyn conducted a thematic visit to our school where they:

  Observed lessons across different year groups

  Spoke directly with our learners

  Reviewed student work and school resources

  Evaluated our teaching practices

  The Results

  We are incredibly proud to share that Estyn has included a section highlighting good practice from Gellifaelog Primary School in their recent report! You can see the relevant section in the screenshot below and access the full report on the Estyn website.

  📣 After-School Clubs Return Monday! We’re excited to kick off our after-school clubs again starting Monday, beginning with Week 1 clubs. Monday- Foxes/Hegdehogs- Football Tuesday- Badgers Owls - Girls Football Wednesday- Badgers Owls - Netball Thursday- Badgers Owls- Football 📍 Pick-Up: Children can be collected from the bottom gate on the junior yard. ⏰ Finish Time: All clubs finish at 4:00 PM. Clubs will always go ahead unless you receive a cancellation message by 1:00 PM on the day of the club. We can’t wait to start another fantastic year of fun, learning, and sports! ⚽🏃‍♀️🎨
